Originally from Bennettsville, SC, The Rev. Jason Collins heard (and ignored) a call to ministry at a very early age.  After college and graduate school, he served in the public sector as the Conway City Planner before he formed his own construction company.

In 2008, Jason finally answered the call to ordained ministry.  He attended and graduated from Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Nashotah, Wisconsin and was ordained in 2011.  He served as the Associate Pastor of St. Paul’s Church for 3 years and as the Assistant Pastor of The Church of the Cross in Bluffton, SC for 2 years.  In March 2016, Jason was called back to Conway to serve as the Pastor of St. Paul’s.

Besides preaching, teaching, and administering the Sacraments, Jason has a call to pray for healing.  After a family member received a very difficult diagnosis, Jason clearly heard the LORD say: “heal the sick and to tell them that the kingdom of God has come near them” (Luke 10:9).  Ever since, he is passionate about helping people receive the healing that Jesus died for them to have.

Jason and his wife Shawna have been married for 22 years.  They have two kids:  Hannah (18) and Duncan (17); and a hunting dog-turned lap dog named Copper.
