What to expect at the 9:00AM Children’s Service

Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, for the kingdom of God belongs to them” (Mark 10:14). Jesus wants children to have access to Him, unhindered and uninhibited. Our new 9:00AM service will help give children this type of access. It will be lively, active, and tactile. Songs will be memorable and fun with some movements to “burn energy”. The sermon will be short, sweet, and relatable. A family activity will be provided to each family that will help emphasize the Scripture and the message. The activity will also allow parents and grandparents to teach the faith at home. The service will also be shorter to help hold young attention spans. And yet, the service will include some liturgy which allows participation for all AND reinforces our Anglican identity and prepares children to transition to another service when they are older.

Statistics show that 90% of the generation of children today do not know Jesus. Statistics also demonstrate that 80-85% of Christians are saved between the ages of 4-14. So why wouldn’t we want to give children access to Jesus? By God’s grace, we will. By God’s grace, they will come to Him.
